  • March 14 - Gala opening of The Plaza Arts Center in Eatonton. Evening concert by The Five Browns, classical music’s first family of piano virtuosos. Call OPAS at 706-467-6000.

  • March 15 - Open House of The Plaza Arts Center from 1 pm until 5 pm, free guided tours of the new facility. Light refreshments available at no charge.

    Plaza Music Fest at The Plaza Arts Center in Eatonton from 7 pm until 9:30 pm. Featuring the Joey Stuckey Band, Sister Essie Mae Brooks and a variety of regional music groups brought to center stage to celebrate the opening of The Plaza Arts Center. Cover charge $10.   • April 25 - Rehearsal for Putnam County Dairy Festival Pageant, 6 pm at Rock Eagle Auditorium. Sponsored by Eatonton Service League & Pilot Club of Eatonton, Inc. For more information call 706-485-7367. All proceeds to benefit FERST Foundation for Childhood Literacy.

  • April 26 - Tour of Homes and Buildings in Eatonton. 10 am to 4 pm. Ample parking. Shuttle transportation provided to each site. Advance tickets $20 at Farmers & Merchants Banks, Peoples Banks & Bank South beginning April 1. Lunch is available for $10 w/ advance reservation.
